Infection and Prevention Control Alert – Higher Prevalence of Norovirus

Dear Patients,

Nettlebed surgery has been alerted to higher than normal cases of norovirus: So far, 24% more cases have been registered this year in comparison to the previous year . The most affected cohorts are ages 0-4 and the elderly. There have also been proven cases of Cyclospora too in the UK.

Therefore, as a matter of precaution and in order to ensure the staff and other patients’ protection, can patients experiencing symptoms please stay away from the surgery; call the surgery first and request a telephone appointment.
