GP Net Earnings

In compliance with NHS England guidelines, we are obligated to disclose the net earnings of doctors engaged in our practice. However, it is important to note that the prescribed method for calculating these earnings can be misleading and it does not account for the amount of time doctors spend working in the practice. Therefore, it should not be used to form any judgments about GP earnings or to make comparisons with other practices or professions.

As part of this requirement, all GP practices are mandated to declare the mean earnings, which refers to the average pay, of GPs working to provide NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Nettlebed Surgery in the last financial year was £108,965 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs and 1 part time GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
